I’m a giant nerd when it comes to turning research into real-world benefits. My specialty is translating complex scientific information into actionable insights that make a difference.
With experience leading communications for the multi-institutional research initiative Our Land and Water, I’ve also shared science for an NGO and university, and have a stack of media experience, including co-founding and editing a sustainable living magazine.
While I’m a generalist who loves diving into various scientific fields, I’m currently passionate about:
improving freshwater quality
futureproofing the primary sector, especially through land-use change and climate change mitigation & adaptation
exploring the mysteries of the human brain, especially neurodegenerative disease, death and dying, neurodiversity, and reducing drug harm
technology that could change our food and bodies, like genetic editing and alternative proteins
