PG Cert Science Communication (Otago), Master of Commerce and Management (Marketing) (Lincoln)

Confession time: I didn’t love science at school. It was boring. I had entirely failed to see its beauty and the transformative power that research has to make the world better.

Now, as a born-again science communicator, I hope to make science and research* engaging, understandable, and useful. My goal is to support researchers to inspire and inform people, encourage evidence-based decision-making, and foster meaningful conversations.

My skills include developing impact and knowledge transfer strategies and implementation plans, creating audience-friendly science content, and working to increase science communication capabilities within the research sector.

I have special interest and experience in the social sciences, housing and urban development, transport, business and economics, soils and land-based science, and primary sector management.

I am based in Lincoln, and am always happy for a coffee and chat in person or online.

*and statistics – a long shot, I know!

I am especially interested in:

social science research: research on individuals, communities and behaviour change

urban planning and development, including housing, transport, and local governance

economics, data, and statistics

soils, water, and ecology, especially where they intersect with communities and land management decisions
